Rough Thumbnails

I had hoped my "Ancient City" layout would've been ready to post this week, but I was cut short of time when they needed me to design some reef at the studio. I'm now working on both, so it'll obviously take me a little longer to finish. Here's the first two rough thumbs I did for the current layouts I'm working on. Their both about 3"x5". Hopefully I'll be able to post the finished layouts by the end of next week. The "ancient city" will be my first attempt with coloring BG.

Another Hans and Ben Joint!

Just a little something to show I'm not slacking:) This is yet another Ben Reynolds design that I colored for the current CG film we're working on. Right now, I'm working on another layout for an establishing shot of an ancient city. Coloring is fun, but visual development and layout, is still what I like and do the best. Hopefully it'll be done and up on the blog next week.

Clean-up and Coloring only! (Ben Reynolds' Character Design)

As I mentioned in the previous post, I've been doing a lot of coloring the past few weeks. I did a few character designs (the kids) for the film we're currently working on and since I had a little extra time, I decided to throw some color on. They liked it so much that they now put me in charge of final touch-up and coloring of all the characters. Since I don't have much experience with coloring, I found this to be a perfect opportunity for me to get some training while getting paid;).
All rough character designs (left) in this post is done by buddy and co-worker Ben Reynolds of Canadia.
